Job Description

Agile Delivery Lead

Optomi, in partnership with a leading manufacturing company, is seeking an Agile Delivery Lead to support multiple product and engineering teams in effectively applying Agile principles and delivering high-quality solutions at scale. This role drives alignment, transparency, and continuous improvement across teams while facilitating collaboration between product management, engineering, and key stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize CI/CD practices to improve key performance indicators such as lead time, MTTR, defect rate, and other engineering metrics.
  • Guide several cross-functional teams in adopting and maturing Agile, Lean, and DevOps practices to enhance delivery speed, quality, and predictability.
  • Facilitate multi-team planning sessions (e.g., quarterly planning) to ensure strategic alignment and coordinated delivery.
  • Surface and resolve risks, dependencies, and impediments early—including technical blockers, process gaps, and resource constraints.
  • Partner closely with product leaders to develop estimates, release roadmaps, delivery plans, and status reporting, ensuring clarity across teams and stakeholders.
  • Use data and metrics related to risks, issues, dependencies, and performance to drive continual process improvements and increase transparency.
  • Promote strong communication and information-sharing across teams to empower high-quality execution within the organization’s delivery model.
  • Act as a liaison between teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment, expectations management, and consistent flow of information.
  • Support Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, estimation, and effective use of delivery tools, ensuring teams maintain healthy backlogs and tracking discipline.
  • Apply various estimation techniques and break down work into manageable components while guiding teams to track progress accurately.
  • Represent product or engineering teams with senior stakeholders, communicating progress, risks, and needs while gathering feedback for ongoing improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in an Agile Delivery Lead, Scrum Master, or similar Agile leadership role.
  • Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, automated testing, and other DevOps practices.
  • Deep expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and modern software development practices.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and the ability to tailor Agile solutions to team needs.
  • Proficiency with Agile delivery tools and dashboarding/reporting to visualize progress, health metrics, and impediments.
  • Familiarity with product management principles and experience partnering with product owners to shape strategy and delivery approaches.
  • Strong data literacy, with the ability to analyze metrics and use insights to guide decision-making and process improvements.
  • Solid understanding of technical concepts, technical debt management, and upstream/downstream dependency impacts.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to manage uncertainty, risk, and change effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, demonstrating integrity, empathy, and a commitment to team success.
