Assistant Plant Manager

We’re looking for an Assistant Plant Manager to help keep our manufacturing plant running safely, smoothly, and efficiently. You’ll work side by side with the Plant Manager to oversee daily operations, support the production crew, and make sure we’re hitting our goals for quality, safety, and output. If you’re someone who enjoys leading by example, jumping in when needed, and helping teams perform their best, this could be a great fit.

What You’ll Do

• Help run day-to-day plant operations — production, safety, and compliance.
• Be the go-between for the Plant Manager and the production floor, keeping everyone on the same page.
• Help plan and adjust production schedules to meet deadlines and keep quality high.
• Lead and support team leads and operators — coach, guide, and help solve problems on the spot.
• Keep the plant clean, organized, and safe, following OSHA and company standards.
• Track production goals and help troubleshoot issues to prevent downtime.
• Work with maintenance and quality teams to make sure machines are running right and products meet standards.
• Help train and cross-train team members to build skills and strengthen the crew.
• Take part in safety meetings, audits, and reporting.
• Fill in for the Plant Manager when needed and handle communication with other departments.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience leading teams in a manufacturing or production setting.
• Experience working with regulated materials is a plus.
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher preferred).
• Strong understanding of safety, quality control, and compliance standards.
• Clear communication skills and a team-first attitude.
• Willing to roll up your sleeves and pitch in wherever needed.
