Organizer

PASNAP is currently searching for an Organizer to work as of a team, mostly on new organizing campaigns, but may also work on contract campaigns, particularly those that are building up for a strike.

Looking for smart, motivated individuals who want to help workers fight for better working conditions, dignity on the job, and improvements in healthcare for all.

Responsibilities include:

• Investigate and follow up on organizing leads in a timely matter with the ability to research target including past union experience, employer history and relationship with other facilities.
• Recruit and train Organizing Committee along with organizing meetings including preparing committee and employees for employer’s anti-union campaign.
• Establish relationships and conduct meetings with employees through small group meetings, departmental meetings and facility wide meetings.
• Prepare and manage work plans, calendars, organizing databases, files and reports in an ongoing and timely matter.
• Perform other tasks and duties as directed by the Organizing Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• 1 year Union organizing experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends.
• Broadstripes and/or other database programs a plus. 
• Automobile and valid driver's license. 
• Willingness and ability to travel to other parts of the state.

Salary range is $83,000 – $136,000 depending on experience.
