Patient Care Coordinator (Onsite | Oklahoma City, OK)

Contract Length: 3 months (W2)

Pay Rate: $18–$20.70/hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Location: Oklahoma City, OK 73131

About the Role:

Russell Tobin is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our client’s healthcare team in Oklahoma City. This is a center-based, front-office position providing direct support to patients and clinical staff to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet patients upon arrival, manage check-in and check-out processes, and assist with scheduling follow-up appointments.
• Support 29 healthcare providers by coordinating referrals via phone, fax, and email.
• Verify patient benefits and enter accurate information into the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Provide clerical and reception support including taking messages, scheduling appointments, and addressing patient or caller inquiries.
• Assist new patients with onboarding paperwork, insurance verification, and obtaining necessary consents and signatures.
• Process payments for co-pays, deductibles, and self-pay fees.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information at all times.
• Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and internal staff both in person and through digital correspondence.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes.
• Experience using EHR systems (Athena RMS or similar).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain sensitive information clearly and compassionately.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Professionalism and adaptability with a positive, service-focused attitude.

Additional Details:

• Work Environment: Onsite; casual dress code.
• Interview Process: One in-person interview at the Oklahoma City office.
